Huhu, I know very little about cryptography in general and Python
modules in particular, so it's probably worth looking around what's
available. I found NCrypt through "apt-cache search python openssl",
maybe there is a better implementation.

I hope so as well, but I agree asking for an initial vector would be
annoying.
