I think so. A Wiki is nice but the great thing about having the site in 
a git repository is being able to work on it offline.

One thing though: if I am not mistaken, github does not provide dynamic 
website hosting. This means we either go for very plain content or 
decide to use a static web site generator. I played a bit with Mako 
recently (a Python template system, used on python.org) but I have not 
much experience in the field of static web generation, so any suggestion 
is welcomed.
